Set/Rest Privacy Policy

Set/Rest is a gym rest timer for iPhone, Apple Watch, and iOS widgets. This policy explains what information the app handles.

Information we collect

Set/Rest does not require an account and does not collect your name, email address, workout history, location, contacts, or health data. The app has no analytics service, backend, or cloud account.

Information stored on your devices

Timer settings, preferences, the current timer session, and completed-rest counts are stored locally on your devices. The iPhone app, widget, and Apple Watch companion use Apple’s App Group storage to share the timer state and Pro unlock status on the same device ecosystem.

Notifications and audio

If you grant permission, Set/Rest schedules local notifications for timer reminders. Notification scheduling is performed by Apple’s operating system. The app does not send your notification content to a server.

Purchases

Set/Rest Pro is a one-time in-app purchase processed by Apple through StoreKit. We do not receive or store your payment details. Apple’s handling of purchase information is governed by Apple’s privacy policy.

Advertising

The free tier includes one banner ad placement powered by Google Mobile Ads. Google’s User Messaging Platform may ask for consent where required. Set/Rest requests non-personalized ads only and does not request App Tracking Transparency permission to access the IDFA. Google may still process device identifiers, IP-derived approximate location, ad interactions, advertising data, and diagnostic or performance data to deliver, limit, secure, and measure ads. These data may be linked to your device by Google, but Set/Rest does not use them to track you across other companies’ apps or websites. Set/Rest does not sell your timer data or send timer sessions to its own server. Pro removes the ad placement. See Google’s Privacy Policy for Google’s data practices.

Children

Set/Rest is not directed to children under 13 and does not knowingly collect personal information from children.
